Muñeca swim began as a passion project in a college dorm, founded by Lilly Neubauer. The brand is rooted in creating timeless, feel-good bikinis. Each piece is intentionally designed and produced in small batches to limit waste and overproduction. Our swim is handmade by the founder with a focus on flattering fits that move comfortably with an active lifestyle.

Muñeca translates to "doll" in Spanish, a term Lilly's father referred to her and her sister growing up. Being very close to her grandmother, who was born and raised in San José, she felt a strong connection to her Costa Rican roots. This led her to spend a month on the western coast to capture her first collection.
